None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

If interested in doing some pedalling, New York is more cycle friendly than you would think with cycle amd roller blader lanes. Two mass rides there are Tour de Bronx (27th October this Year )and the 5 Boro tour on first Sunday after Mayday...

Just got back but was speaking to some of the NYPD guys who said the new cycle system fitted throughout New York was a menace and people were definitely not happy about it ?
I have to say though, there were so many cycle pods around, just rows and rows of thousands of bikes, everywhere !
Footpaths destroyed to house bike pods. On the flip side, most bikes were always taken though.

    1. The Bahamas - went there just after "11th September" (yes, that one) - although sadly booked it before said event, therefore paid full price. Hardly an American in sight, lovely place, great weather. Downside: mahoosive cost and 10 hour flights.

    2. France - specifically around the Lot region. Great countryside, nice wine, super cycling, considerate French drivers, quiet roads. Downside: too many Brit ex-pats

    3. Swanage - nice little place, kids love it, cheap and not too busy. Some nice rides round that way. Downside: awkward to get to

It's just a hill. Get over it.
