Sagan soon rejoined after his bike issue, not seen Gilbert back though.

Attacks going off the front of the peleton now inc. Chavanel and Velits pushing at the front of the peleton trying to make a break. 31km to go.

Not in this race. They're using it to overtake.

Was gonna say that. Flanders etc. you regularly see riders using the pavement to move up the bunch. I winced at one point in Roubaix at a Cannondale rider nearly going into a car parked on the pavement.

Not watching, so I'll take your word for it.

Although I do wonder if the UCI see the irony in this when they've just given the Giro permission to have 207 riders in the peloton

    That too!
I repeat, do't have a problem with the pavement being used, that's at their own risk and only hurting themselves, riding behind spectators is insanely dangerous though.

Rebellin punctures. Let's hope he has a slow wheel change.

Van Avermaert and Gilbert attack and Sagan responds along with Chavanel. Simon Geschke makes up this second group on the road.

Up to OPQS and BMC to attack Sagan here? They have two riders each in this break.

6km to go and the break has a 25s lead.

No, the finish is uphill and I still think they've got one more hill before then.

Do we think Sagan is faster than VA in an sprint?

Might be a bit of an uphill just before the finish though. As I said earlier I'm not that familiar with this race.

Looks as if Gilbert will make Sagan work for his wins, over the next 10 days.

I think Gilbert gave that to PS by going to early....I reckon he could have sat back and made PS work for longer, then REALLY go for it and dash accross to give him no slipstream

    or am i wrong?
