An idiot's question: what kit do I need for TrainerRoad?

I hope someone might be able to help me - I feel a bit of an idiot for asking.

I'd like to use TrainerRoad but I'm really unclear as to what I need to get going.

I have a Tacx Sirius turbo, which I can see is supported.

The HRM I use is a Garmin Forerunner 50 (it's old and I'll probably replace it in the next few months).

I have the Garmin ANT+ stick, but as far as I'm aware it's just the USB stick you put into your PC to download the data from your HRM.

I don't have anything else other than a laptop - so what do I need?

Sounds like you're almost good to go - all you need is the ANT stick and sub to TrainerRoad. I think you'll need a Garmin Speed/ Cadence sensor too, normally around £30-40.

TR then uses the ANT frequency to receive data from the sensors and calculate the loads to create Virtual Power. Make sure you check your Tacx Sirius Trainer is on their supported list too (they can always add it for you if not).

Seriously, all the info and guides are on their website and youtube channel... and the rather large but informative TR thread,

If you are going to join up to TR ,then a decent pair of bib shorts is essential...Really
