Training rides/chaingangs in Cornwall?

Not sure if this is the right subsection but thinking of going on holiday near Redruth / St Ives area- are there any midweek training rides that welcome anyone joining in - and if so where and when ?

    Theres a Wednesday evening ride 6: 30 from Bike Chain, Mt Ambrose in Redruth, its only 12-14 mph I think though I haven't since a couple of years ago. Theres a Thursday one by same people, but not sure when that is. More social though.

    Then on Sunday you could probably tag along on a One and All Cycling ride from Bissoe, where theres a choice of 5 different group rides, with the top being approx 18mph for 3 hours. Thats 9 am.

    Theres also Penzance Wheelers and Newquay velo, but I'm not sure where/when they meet. Theres no chaingangs of my knowledge yet, but a couple of guys in my club are talking about trying to start one soon so I'll let you know if that progresses between your holiday and now.

    Finally check the dates and see if theres a Cornish Series on, normally there in Perranporth in the mid week.
