Uploading routes onto iPhone 5

As a member of British cycling I can plan routes, but how do i upload these to my iPhone to use on my ride? I have strava and cyclemeter but can seem to figure out how to upload a route!

    If you email yourself a GPX route file made on RideWithGPS.com, bikeroutetoaster.com, etc. as an attachment, then in the mail program on your phone you can choose to open the attachment with the Cyclemeter app (or other apps registered for this file type), which will then import it as a route.

    cyclemeter is the only one I found could d this but no turn by turn instructions - therefore I ended up buying a garmin
