1.5 kgs for a set of ready-to-ride wheels? you're talking:
    - 2 x wheels (that's front AND rear)
    - 2 x skewers
    - 1 x cassette + lockring (at least 8-9 cogs, preferably 10 or 11)
    - 2 x tubs/glue or tyres/tubes/rim tape?

They had better be lighweights, winiums, Neutrons, Zipp 202 tubs, Easton EC90 low pros or AC Magnesiums. Anything else that's not a renowned light wheel and I'm skeptical.

Look at the typical weights of just a rear wheel in C+ and you'll see that most fall in the 1400 - 1700 range.

Have you accounted for the fact his tyres are filled with helium and his cassette is made from unobtanium?
