He's not a fan.

Does like the way he shows his strength in the finish, as it doesn't show respect.

and if he's in the final with Sagan in M-SR he won't take his turn.

Fabian is a moaning cartoon horse, who knew....
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

No, but when you consider the way he's pee'd all over everyone with some of his ridiculous performances over the years it's a bit rich

  • Nothing really new from Cancellara there. He's spent his entire career moaning when other riders refuse to play to his strengths.

I still love him, even just for this comment:

Is cycling the only sport where it is frowned on to demonstrate you are much better than the opposition?

Yep, planning to beat your opponents is also bad...

"Cancellara clearly still hasn't forgiven Sagan for sitting on in the final kilometre of stage one to Seraing and then jumping away and making one of his entertaining victory celebrations."

Personally I can understand how some of Sagan's victory celebrations might p**s off some other riders. While they are no doubt meant to be entertaining I can see how it might come across as a bit arrogant and disrespectful to others. This is because I am personally not a massive fan of funny finish man Sagan, I am one of those people who doesn't like over exuberant displays of self congratulation. But this says more about me than it does about Sagan. Fair play to the man for being brilliant, I just can't warm to him myself. I'm trying very hard not to pick him for PTP.

As for Cancellara, maybe he's learned not to expect people to work and help him to the line.
    Correlation is not causation.

Got to agree with Above the Cows, Sagan has one of those face's I just want to slap... a bit like Chris Moyles!!

Not knocking his talent, just don't warm to the guy.

Maybe he can come up with a celebration for when Cancellara tows him to the line and he jumps over the top to take the win!! I'm sure he's supple enough to get him face down around his front wheel area, and purse his lips, a bit like he was sucking a wheel!! ;) Maybe that would make Fabain feel better - a bit of acknowledgement. :)

Good interview piece I thought. Clearly they are not best buddies, but at least he wasn't as rude as we have seen other riders being about fellow riders.

Like or hate Spartacus he does show a manner of maturity in the words he chose to say.

Was Cancellara the King of the Spring Classics?

That Belgian fella in the Quickstep kit is pretty handy.

quite a compliment to be chastised by a heavyweight like Fabu I would have thought

I like his comments about Schleck and want to believe them - we all go through slumps and pro cyclists are no different

Maybe a case for civil partnership, think they were both pretty good?

I think Sagan being around might give Chinny a better chance of winning.
He's been a marked man the last few years, whereas the focus, especially on Sunday, has switched to Sagan.

Luigi should quit moaning about Sagan and start working out how to beat people. He can't blame anybody else for his complete lack of tactical nouse or creativity - ie, drag everyone to the finish all day long and not have the sprinting legs to win.

Cancellara is obviously a very talented and much liked rider but his gameplan is a decade old and doesn't work for him anymore (he still tries to use it in every race he rides though) - time to try something new or quit moaning on like a little old lady.
