I currently do 1 minute intervals (flat out) with 4 minutes recovery between each one (40 minute session) These have now stopped hurting as much and my question is should I increase the length of each interval or reduce the recovery time.My goals are to drop some weight, increase average speed and improve climbing.Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Typically reduce the recovery.

Sounds like Revolver. 1 minute recovery, 15 reps. Ideal for increasing power output.

    I'd remove the recoveries altogether.

    So that's 40 minutes flat-out?
