Anyone doing a super endurance event

Just wanted to see if any of our fellow forum riders are going the extra mile this year by doing something that they consider super Endurance by their own standards.
Doesn't matter if it's short or long it's what you consider well out of your normal riding range.
I do 100 mile regular so for me the distance isn't really anything above normal now but When I first did it I wouldn't shut up about it.
This year I am signing up with Active 24 for a 300 mile ride Newcastle to London in 24hrs can't wait.

Not sure whether its super but a few friends and myself are doing this years La Marmotte. This is way beyond what any of us has done before. We are a group of MAMILS who have come to cycling late and want to challenge ourselves while raiding money for a good cause. Sounded a great idea in October but reality is dawning on us fast now!0

Well that sounds great and I'm sure most of us on here would find that a Big task so goodluck dude keep us posted on how you did.0 -
Ashfield RC are riding Hucknall-Blackpool-Hucknall in a day, about 250 miles, in June. The furthest I've ridden in a day is 175 miles, but on a touring bike with panniers and a tent, so this should be a doddle (not)!0

I'm doing the Rat Race Road Trip - London to Edinburgh ride. I've entered the "expert" category which means 430 miles in 2 days.0

I'm doing the LEL as well. Also doing the Bryan Chapman Memorial 600k, 2x 24hr TTs, and a 12hr TT.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0 -
I am doing '3 Peaks 500 Miles' with a few friends in May. 516 miles over 6 days, with 2x 'just walking' days for Scafell and Nevis. So 8 days of rather intense (for me) exertion. Racked up over 1000miles already this year in training, really looking forward to it.0

Compared to you lot this seems a bit pansy, but if all goes to plan, I'm aiming to tackle the South Downs Way (Winchester to Eastbourne) in a day on the MTB in early autumn. By going to plan I mean the current "everything died at once" MTB component situation gets sorted out, I get a few practice runs at portions of the route, and I can find a suitable dry Saturday when I'm free, the team car's (aka. Mrs. Achilles) available, it's dry enough to be reasonably rideable, and there aren't significant bits of the route closed for one reason or another. I don't care how long it takes me, I'm just looking to complete it. If not this year, then next year...Mangeur0

Nice one mate I did LEJOG in 2010 and did a scenic route 1100 mile in 9 days. Have you included the Isle of ARRAN in your route if not I would highly recommend it as it's an amazingly lovely island and the ride through it was epic especially the two hills up and then a great decent onto the other end of the island. We stayed overnight on the island and got ferry next morning.0 -
Just a 12hour for me, aiming to add at least 10 miles to the 210 I did last year and with the ride back to HQ it will then be around 225 miles.0

To be honest, I am doing it as a charity ride and will be taking a more direct route. However, I have been to Arran (and many of the other isles on the west of Scotland) plenty of times on holidays. You are correct, it is a lovely island, especially on those rare days when the sun is out!
For this ride, I am taking a more direct route via Edinburgh, but travelling through the lovely midlands of England to stay at my mom's house in Bromsgrove on the way through0 -
John O'Groats to Carlisle in June
Scheduled a 30 mile ride tonight but it's raining and debating with myself which is worse, getting wet or the turbo0 -

Going to do a 200miles with 5000m plus of climbing ride this year. Done a similar route last year and it was epic and did it all on my own. Something crazy about disappearing into the hills for over 14 hours and it feels like you have had far too much for one day despite feeling thoroughly knackeredBrian B.0
