They're not on TT bikes. Is that race regulations, or course requirement?

Latter. They opt for it given the gradient. Most have clip on bars.

Porte 19.16. Wins the ITT. Wins PN.

    Faster than Wiggins

Edit. Time for Wiggins given on ES commentary was wrong. I just checked it and he got 19.12 last year.

No bar tape either. Saves 0.5 secs so must be worth it.

Why did I pick TJVG? I toyed with Porte and then put him back on the shelf. No one from BMC is ever getting a pick from me again for those ridiculous helmets alone. I tuned in this afternoon to Gilbert trundling up the Col d'Eze with what looked like half a melon perched on the top of his bonce. They are outdone only by Ag2r's aero helmets which seem to be channeling some 13th Century Pontiff's headwear in poo brown.
    Correlation is not causation.

Porte is not to be toyed with, ATC. The Tasmanian Devil may be small but he deserves to be treated with respect.

And what the hell's going on with all the farked up helmets this season?
