I think they'd classify as Euro.

    I'm 5'7", 32"waist, 38" chest and medium fits like a glove.

Thanks. 5"10 with a 31 waist and 40" chest so I might need large for the length.

I wouldn't be so sure about large, may want to try some new ones in a shop - 5'11 31" waist 37" chest and medium are perfect.

    Short thighs, long body though

assos has always been very race-specific, and rightly so.

Go with the size chart. I'm the same height as you and go with a Large, perfect. The size chart goes by height, don't worry about anything else.

I recently bought a set with the S2 pad from the afore-not-mentioned-outlet (due to this thread I may add)

Me too, although I'd have thought most semi internet-literate folk would have found it too.

Agree on the comfort. My previous shorts were Muddy Fox from Sports Direct. When I first put the Assos on I thought crikey, they're holding the boys rather forcefully, but I got used to it. I recently had reason to use my old ones and they now feel like everythings wanging about all over the place! Sizing chart worked fine for me too going off height alone.

gm, what are these shorts like in comparison to the F1_uno's with the S5 insert? I have a few pairs of the Uno's and for me personally, they're about as good as it gets.

Thanks for the sizing tips. Sounds like a large is what I need. I wear the Muddy Fox ones too but think it's time I got some proper bib shorts. Don't want my gentleman's parts "wanging all over the place" lol.

Ordered late Thursday, arrived this morning. 5'11" but with short legs - 31" and rather large waist so I went XL and the feel fine.

The postman's timing was almost perfect - just as I was about to get my gear on for a short ride...

Well as already stated, it is an entirely different insert. My S5 Unos aren't the most comfortable shorts FOR ME, and I always have to use chamois cream when wearing them. But my S2s, of which I have several pairs; tights, shorts and 3/4s, are more comfortable.

Furry muff, I'll probs invest in a pair. Cheers :)

Large at least. Medium would see the straps tight on your shoulder

Thanks for this, ordered some at this price.
Was considering the Castelli Free Aero Race or the equivalent priced Assos but these seem as good (or better) for a chunk less.

Hopefully they fit ok, i'm 67kg / 174cm (5ft 8.5in) and went with the medium...
    Cheers, Stu

69kg and 6 foot tall. Medium was a perfect fit - my inside leg is 34" though!

Today I got my first pair of T_Pro Bib Short - Fi.13 S2 and they feel nice to touch. They fit nicely too but I was expecting a bigger pad. I had the mental vision of a big pad, probably from looking at the T.fi uno. I took them for a quick 10 mile test and they feel fine, not amazing though. Nevertheless no regrets, they are still better than anything I've had so far. One thing though, they felt better when I was coming back so maybe they need riding a bit longer.

I'm thinking now that I will try a pair of T.fi mile next. Will have to save the pennies for the next pair of shorts then :)

    Hi

Considering a pair of theses T_Pro Bib Short_s2

    I'm 5'8 (173cm) tall

    28 inch waist (71cm)

31 inch (79cm) inside leg measurement

    Weigh 61kg / 134Ibs / 9 stone 8 (take your pick :D )

Sizing guide for assos goes off height says I'm a medium? Is that right?

Was either these ^ or a pair of Sportful Total Comfort Bibshorts which are Italian but according to the sizing guide table thingy majig I'm an XS?

Which pair would you go for Sportful Total Comfort Bibshorts or the above Assos and what size?

Thank you for your help. I think I'll buy the Assos as I suffer from man syndrome and can't be bothered returning the Sportful if there too small - lazy I know :)

    Hi,

£90 for assos bib shorts I thought was too good a bargain too miss out !!
At 6" 14st (rugby player) went for the XL which fitted well but the leg length was too long and grippers were hanging around my knees, sent them back to try L, legs are still long which means I have to pull legs grippers up my thigh to fit? Ended up trying the L out on ride so can't send them back although I found them a bit too snug restrictive on crotch area and :(
I'm either gonna sell em on or man up and get used to them!!
