It arrived yesterday morning I had time to set it up, sit on it, then I had to go to school. LONGEST SCHOOL DAY EVER haha. Really nice ride though, I'm going to give it a real ride today, weighs in at 8.9kg which is fine for me :)

Yeah, i'm buying some new clipless pedals for the Mekk, I put on standard pedals purely so I could get used to how the bike feels before I attach myself haha

Very nice ! Ive looked at these on wiggle and was a bit underwhelmed by the colour scheme but it looks much nicer in these photos, the blue looks very glossy and metallic.

Very nice, now get out and enjoy it !! And remember not to grow any more !

Thanks, and i'm going to try my best not to grow but I expect even if I grow 3 more inches it'd still fit me as it looks fine on my older brother who is much taller than me, however I'm not sharing :P

Everything is less important than a bike! I've ordered a Mekk 2G Poggio P2.5 Ultegra. I will post a photo when it arrives.

Why did you spend that much? you'll grow out of it in a year.

    Seriously? Stop being patronising

    +1.
Blatantly obvious the young lass is excited about buying the bike. She's saved hard and finally got enough money to buy it. She posts harmlessly and is berated for it. When she gets enough money she's then further deflated by such a negative comment! :x

Enjoy your new bike and have fun. :)

Agreed.. enjoy many happy miles.. that's what its all about

I have to say at one point I really thought this was a troll thread so I'm pleased its not, but I'm even more pleased to see someone your age who is so into such a great hobby and takes it seriously enough to save for such a decent bike.

Most 15 year olds are busy smoking pot, or hanging out in gangs making a bloody nuisance of themselves so its fantastic to see that some kids have the maturity of mind to enjoy such past times as cycling.

My only comment, and maybe I'll get berated for this, but your signature 'put the fun between your legs  ' is slightly inappropriate for a 15 year old girl, in my opinion. You're just a kid so maybe better to leave such sexual innuendos to the adults, but that's just my opinion.

Congrats on the new bike. I hope it brings you many hours of enjoyment.

@ct8282 - reading through the pages of this thread, the same thing occured to me! Don't think i'd be happy if my daughter was posting something similar on an online forum. Rosie - just be careful, the internet can be a nasty place - I get the humour in your signature, but maybe its best saved for Facebook, where you're sharing it with just your friends - people you know.

Anyway, the bike looks great and as others have said, well done for saving up for it, you'll appreciate it more because you've had to save up than those people who are 'lucky' enough to have parent who buy them what they want without question. I hope you have lots of happy miles together. And you do right no letting your brother get his hands on it!!

Yeah, I didn't mean to come across in a condescending way but I do feel strongly about it. I'm 31 and have 1 year old daughter, and I was 15 once as well believe it or not so I know what 15 year olds get up to and I also know that teenagers these days try to act a lot older than they are, but I'll be worried if my daughter makes references like that on online forums when she's a teenager!

I think in any case its about the OP having more respect for herself than anything else. I'm sure oneday when she's older she'll understand what we're saying.
