Morning, noticed when riding at 'speed' that the wind is whipping round my tifosi glasses causing my eyes to water. Therefore need some specs that are going to minimise this.
Looking at all options so id say £100 is max on the budget front.
Cheers

Same here.
I bought many over the last 5-10 years: most expensive ones £160 from Adidas, best ones £2.50 safety googles from the Chemistry Lab where I work.0 -
I have some Oakley Flak Jackets and have the same problem, as I wear contact lenses I have have even had them blown out a couple of times. I got some Oakley M Frames off Ebay for £50 with 2 sets of lenses and they are perfect as the lenses come around almost to my cheek.0

I bought a pair of m frames off here, sold them as I never used them on the mtb. Worst mistake of my life as they were the sweeps so would of done the job.0
-
Hi rich164h, I did look at the XL lenses but was not sure if they would fit standard Flak Jacket frames.0
-
I managed to pick up a pair of Oakley RadarLock Path with black iridium & persimmon lenses for £75 in my local Vision Express.
Had 75% off them as they said they hadn't sold any pairs since getting them in. Total bargain
Joys of living in a shit area where the locals don't go buying Oakley's .0 -

You can still get M Frames if it's those your after.0 -
Save your cash, try screwfix safety glasses good buy at £10 a shot, I find the yellow lenses really enhance the light on a winters day & then you can spend £10 more & get the sunlight shades.0
-
If you've got the cash and you look after your kit - I'd go with Oakley. They just last and do the job brilliantly. You'll often see the non Oakley sponsored pros out training in them rather than their own team issue glasses0
-
Will admit to blowing the budget for glasses and tbh they are well worth it, picked up some oakly half jackets standard lense size with my prescription and transition lenses, expensive but the best biking glasses ive ever had, will be getting some more when my prescription changes, they fit well and do the job perfectly.0

I broke a pair yesterday and have been looking for replacements today. They are available but only from a few sources with limited choice of colours.
I got an e-mail from Oakley and I am eligible for a trade in (£20 which isn't too bad :P ) but they only have Jet Black, White Camo and Plasma in stock. I get the distinct impression that they are out of production.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -
I have a set of old half jackets I think. Which might be worth a punt. But dont know what they actually are so cant find the lenses.0
-
Turns out they are 2002 half jackets, but lenses are £55. I could go to gunwharf and get a new pair of oakleys for that.
So now need a set of m frames I think!!0 -
Ooooh, get these...

Meet the OP's budget too!
Trade-in set for day to day, new set for bling. 8)None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -
I have a pair of oakley jawbones with prescription lenses. They don't look the best but they are fantastic for field of vision and protection from cold winds.
I went out on my bike the other day with my normal glasses on and it wasn't long until tears were rolling down my cheeks - I had forgotten all about this problem until then. The jawbones make a huge difference.

I got some endura ones with a clear lens and a photochromic lens. They work well but, unfortunately I can't remember where I got them or the exact details. I just remember my wife laughing when she saw he label saying technical eyewear0

Could I trade my old half jackets in?0 -

My M Frames had a leg fall off as the hinge pin went missing. I don't know how that happened.
I remembered reading something so went on the Oakley site and found out that by sending an e-mail they will replace the item for £20 if they think it falls under warranty. I am guessing here as I didn't read a policy.
Upshot is that I just received a phone call, I am £20 lighter and they are being dispatched today.
Good service I would say for 5 year old glasses. Fingers crossed it is not just the frame.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -

Oakley offer a 1 year warranty, if the hinge had failed within that time, they would have replaced them FOC. As it's outside of it, you can buy a new warranty for the £20. I've done this lots of times and need to do it again with a pair of Pro Ms I have where the metal coating is flaking off.0 -
Sods law I have a pair of 10 year old half jackets that dont have any mechanical defects.0

Agreed! Nowt wrong with Half Jackets. But you still need these...
In fact, quite tempted to order a pair myself. Only trouble is I've just ordered a pair of custom Racing Jackets...0 -

Yes and no, the missus hates them, the lenses are knackered and 55 quid for a new set. And plus dont think they will offer the wind protection I am after.
Its got to be m's or radars. Those reds are quite nice.0 -

There isn't much between Radars and M Frames. Peripheral vision is a little bit better with M Frames and they are slightly cheaper, given the choice, I'd go for them.0 -
