Yep, and Lance didn't cheat... er in 2009.... Tyson didn't rape that girl (I don't believe he did), he also didn't beat Robin Givens (hate her for that) and Linford Christie never ever once doped (I don't believe he did and never will).

As for Oscar Pisorius, I dunno man. I heard he shot her twice - once in the head and once in the chest - so he shot to kill. If he honestly thought it was a intruder he could have simply shot them in the leg... Now I'm learning it was through a door - which means he was unable to identify her, doesn't mean he shouldn't have shot first though.

Tookie should never have been executed.
Hagler won that fight against Leonard.
Chris Hunhe is the victim and it was his wifes doing.
    Han Solo shot first

I thought it was 4 times, 3 times through the door.

    Here from BBC

"He shot four times and hit Ms Steenkamp three times, he said. The defendant later broke down the bathroom door and carried the victim downstairs"

Seems to me there's very little actual confirmed information, and to fill the vacuum, one helluvalot of speculation. Going to be keeping my skeptic's hat on for the time being.

A jury in a criminal court found OJ guilty but a civil case awarded damages to his wife's family (I think). Civil courts have a lower burden of proof and OJ had a brilliant liar, oops, lawyer.
I don't understand what you mean about Robin Givens.IF Tyson beat her (I can't remember the details and can't be bothered to look) are you blaming the victim?
Remember your belief that Lance didn't dope? Well Linford has tested positive and was in "The Dirtiest 100m Olympic Final Ever" so was at the top during an era of lots of doping just like Lance was at the top during an era of lots of doping. This may be another belief for you to have a cry in a dark corner about.

With all of the stories of sportsmen and women doping, can you be so sure that ANY athlete NEVER EVER ONCE doped? Grow up!

The facts are not completely out about Oscar so we don't really know what we are talking about. Yet.

Wait until the facts come out in court before drawing conclusions.

Hunhe was speeding, his wife took the points. He's the victim of her scourn, but he did commit the crime in the first place.

I don't know who Tookie is (and I probably don't care).

Han Solo is a character in a series of films. It is fiction. I definitely don't care.

Don't have one really. The Oscar case is interesting and I'm sure there will be the conspiracy theorist coming out once more of the details come out.

I think the most telling point was the prosecutor's argument that even if it had been an intruder, shooting through the bathroom door would be an act of premeditated murder. It doesn't seem to me much of a defence to say that he thought he was shooting someone else.

The above was what I was going to say.

He also didn't have to aim for the head (assuming he shot her in the head is accurate). To be honest his defence seems implausible... she was in the bathroom and he thought it was an intruder? So, and without any identifiable threat (i.e. mad person coming at you - because he'd be able to see that it was his girlfriend in those circumstances), and before identifying the person, he shot them three times - without an intention to kill.

Wasn't there a previous case where trespassers went onto this guys land (think he was a relative of Prince Charles) he shot at them, hit one as they ran away - was like oh sh*t - and then he drove the guy he shot to the hospital and he died on route. Didn't that guy go to prison?

    Two things:

1: He shot through a closed door - so not sure how he could aim at anything other than, erm, the door.
2: I think you are wildy over-estimating how accurate a (possibly panicking) civilian is likely to be with a handgun...

When aming at someone behind a door I'm going to assume the person is standing therefore unless I want a headshot I'm going to point the downwards or crouch and aim for where I hope there legs will be...
2: I think you are wildy over-estimating how accurate a (possibly panicking) civilian is likely to be with a handgun...
This is assuming he was panicking. He didn't see an intruder, the intruder couldn't have possibly have threatened him because there wasn't one. He claims to have thought it was an intruder so unloaded 3 slugs through a door. I'm not sure where panic starts to take hold.

Getting a head shot through a closed door? Thats some good shooting.

Seriously though, depending on the size and layout of the bathroom, it does sound like he knew where to aim to ensure the 'intruder' wasn't able to escape.

Wasn't it reported that she was shot in the head and arm? He was probably aiming for the head and shoulders.
