Weather looks alright though it is a few days away.

40 - 50 miles from RP into Surrey and back anyone? I did this one last week which was 50 almost exactly. Weather looked ok most of the week then it snowed 3 times on the day :)

Happy to do a litte shorter, different route, whatever.

If you come through Worcester Park on your way to Surrey, I'll join you there (Subject to a pass from Mrs Sketchley) not sure I can be bothered to cycle to RP first.

  • If anyone's other halves are looking for something to do on the same day, and interested in racing, there is a LWCR meet and greet ride out to Windsor with one of the teams at 9am from Richmond Gate. It's for ladies looking at racing in and around London this year? I'm going, it's a steady ride, around 16mph average, pretty flat, with cake stop :D.
Why? Because I'm guaranteed a seat all the way in.

As I can't pull off a dress I'll be giving GBs ride a miss but might be about for this, looks like Box Hill is the steepest thing so would liklely come along on the fixed.

Ah cool. I found Leith Hill steeper (too steep for fixed the side I went up last week, but other side might be fine) but we can just do Box a few times if you are on fixed :)

Could be up for this, although I may be riding with my Brother instead. Will know tomorrow/Friday I think.

Leith Hill is fair bit steeper, which if your on FG/SS (as am I) is the gotcha, it's 7% ish average compared to Box's 5% but unlike Box has more varablity if memory serves, ie steeper ramps. lovely road around Leith Hill from bottom of white down to Dorking.

Um. Yep? I can do earlier, I don't mind. But 9 is in the morning last time I checked.

Anyway vermin you are not invited, as you are directly above me on the stats board :)

I would come along if we could be back by 11. Which I know is an ask.
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

Back in Kingston? We could start at 7:30 and not waste any time eating cake, and make that fine. Last week's was 3:34 total and that was with 25 mins stopped.

    Other people still interested?

I'm still up for this and happier with an early start. I will leave you after Box Hill though as I prefer to head back via Epsom & the Horton Roundabouts. Not a fan of the A Roads your route takes for the return.

I just took that route because I was following signs. More than happy to go back another way if you can lead, those were the worst roads.

I can do 7:30 if 7:30 is required. I would also vote a Headly - Epsom - Horton route, its much nicer.

Cool 7:30 it is. Where shall we meet? Kingston Gate good for people? Or Market Place?

    Here's a route I use:

    http://connect.garmin.com/course/2876907

Anyone object if my Brother comes along? He's relatively new to cycling but can manage 50 miles no probe. If he's slowing the group then I'll drop of with him.

Blimey, that's keen. 15 miles from New Cross to Kingston to start at 7.30. Just head out with the Paragons at 9 from Herne Hill and I'll see you there :)
