Right I think I've got minor piriformis syndrome
Bit of history I play ice hockey. Got to training late Friday so didn't get time to strech went through training fine. Then I woke up in Saturday with a pain in arse just to the side of my sit bones. Went for a ride not thinking about it. It doesn't hurt when I ride only get a sort of aching when standing up and sitting down once I'm sat down I'm fine. I've been doing a few streches as well as the ones I do for a on going it band issue which has been fine after I had a bike fit so there's no problem with poor fit.
Any way the question was am I ok to ride only say a easy 40. Usually mileage is 50+ hilly miles I know its down to how well I heal as a person just wandering if any body had any ideas.
Cheers for any help mark.

Mine flares up now and again. I find a few clam exercises helps. I tend to just continue riding and with a few exercises it goes away.0

side of sit bones sounds like gluteus not piriformis issues. It should ease up after a day or two. Gentle riding that doesnt make inflammation worse should help.0
