On the bike today (not yesterday as I had an appointment 45 miles away 45 mins after I finished work!), nice ride but it was chuffin cold......
Nasty thick heavy tyres, 2 punctures in 3k miles now.....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
During the last dump of snow, my bike was frozen to the ground for a week. Obviously, it could have been defrosted with a kettle of water, but I considered it an omen.0

I'm going snowboarding next week, need to take it easy before i head off.
Was snowboarding last week, so just having a week off to relax.
^ both were deployed to great effect0 -
excuses this morning were:
slightly hungover,
BBC weather said there is a 19mph headwind the whole way there
missed top gear so can watch that on iPad on the train
longer lie in bed
bike needs brake pads replacing and chain oiling
and i was punished by a fault on the line, which meant I had to walk 2 miles between two stations in the freezing cold with a thin coat on. Safe to say bike will get some TLC tonight and will be used tomorrow!0 -
Spent the weekend in bed with acute man flu.
It was snowing.
It's half-term so the traffic isn't bad.
The car was lovely and warm :-)Misguided Idealist0 -
Discovering a flat front at departure time, extended my week long layoff from man flu.
This afternoon, I removed both tyres to fit new ones, and a new inner tube to the front (couldn't find a hole anywhere, so decided to play safe)
Good to go for tomorrow0 -
Just about to start out for the Tube home, it sucks. I have no bike until wednesday due to a serious drive train failure and the fact that I sold the n+1.
I am depressed beyond what is reasonable."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."
