How to dominate on power climbs video tutorial.

I did a quick vid tutorial recently filmed at this years TDU. My strava data indicated I rode it quicker than the actual TDU pro peleton did too. I was on my 11kg bamboo roadie with 120km in the legs that morning and 315k the day before + wearing a back pack with a few tins of fruit in it. Power meter FTW.

  • If you look in the OED and look up 'power meter' you see this video.

I just did a bit of snot out of my nose - classic!

This is one of the most pretentious slices of ego stroking w4nk I have ever seen. I thought being a vegan hippie sandal wearing cyclist was all about peace love and equality man – yet you go through that video slagging other riders off and stating how awesome you are. You my mung bean eating friend are a c0ck.
  • He is funny though :D

And a lot fitter than me

    I f***ing hate bananas tho...

I am curious though, is it a bicycle made of Bamboo or is that an actual make of frame over there? :-)

A bycycle made of bamboo would look pretty wierd.

    Proper funny

As someone on Youbtube commented can you imagine this guy on the roids and racing it would be like Father Jack Hackett turning up
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

sure would be a shame if your bamboo frame snaps and you get the splinters in your private parts.

I did a quick vid tutorial recently...

What's your FTP compared to the other riders? What's you 'climbing FTP'?

Do you think the walkers were walking because they ran out of gears or paced themselves really badly?

Duh - they were walking because they didn't have power meters ;)

To paraphrase some of the video commentary - "look at that slow guy - NO POWER METER !!"

    Odd. All I heard was "i'm a c*unt i'm a c*unt i'm a c*unt i'm a c*unt i'm a c*unt i'm a c*unt i'm a c*unt i'm a c*unt ". Then I stopped talking and he was saying exactly the same!

The annoying thing though, is he still went up that hill quicker than the other people in the video.

Perhaps he had his camera on 3x ffwd :-)

Maybe, but going up a hill faster than a load of slow people is nothing much to celebrate...

I clicked on another of his videos before laptop-through-the-TV-gate, and the f*cking ar$epirate tacks onto the back of a bunch of Movistar riders on a course recce, proceeds to tell you how he's got more miles in his legs and he's still keeping up. Knobber. I once rode with Pozzato up the Jaizibel the day before San Sebastian and kept up - not because I'm any good, but because he was doing a f*cking COURSE RECCE at recovery pace. GRRRRRRRRR.

Are you sure it wasn't because he did not have a power meter :?:

Hardest thing about fuelling up on ripe bananas is find enough ripe ones. My record is 72 in a day.

I know this is an old post but I bet a lot of the people's opinions have changed on his video. To me he is talking absolute sense. I've been watching his videos for a number of years now and while I'm not into the whole vegan thing I find his cycling tips very helpful. So I guess if you know better then maybe you should make a YouTube channel so people like me could learn a thing or two?......... No?....... Then I'm not really sure who the c$nt is? :D

If not posting videos on YouTube makes you a c*nt, then I guess 99.999999999% of all of the worlds population (including you, probably) are c*nts.

I post Youtube vids btw. ;)

Rides well. Makes sense. Is still a kn*b. You can achieve exactly the same outcome by riding to heartrate, or by riding to feel; so many ways he could have been more instructional and less "look at me".

As for the vegan thing, incisors & canines, mate, incisors & canines. Cows don't have 'em. We do. Why's that?

It's obvious; they'd chafe on udders.
