Hi
can anyone help? I am trying to read a Garmin file, tried TCX and GPX, in excel so that I can analyse power data from a Powertap hub. I can read the files in Excel but the power data does not seem to be there. If I upload a tcx file to GPS Ride it shows me the average power in watts so the info must be in the tcx file somwhere. Anyone know how I can get to it?

If you use Golden Cheetah to open the TCX file, you can export the data in a variety of formats, including Excel.
Golden Cheetah is FREE software. It's also brilliant. Google it, preferably version 3.0 -
Alternatively upload the .fit ride to Garmin Connect and then re-export as a GPX file. Excel should be able to read this in and do an XML to Table conversion for you. One of the resulting columns will be power.FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0
