Not a penny so far, but the occasional graunching noise leads me to suspect I might be splashing out on some consumables when I do it's midwinter service shortly.

    More than I thought.......

    Leyzne BB tool
Park cassette tool - (cheap crap made of cheese)
    Shimano MTB cassette

    All in £30 or so.

    Kask K50 helmet - £37
    Swissstop brake pads - £20.

Still only 2 figures though
    Faster than a tent.......
  • Spending for this year, I wonder how much aldi are charging for their kit this spring.
  • Bar ends
    Topeak UFO rear light
    One 23 front light
    Topeak MTX Trunk Bag DXP
    A decent multi tool
    Conti Gatorskins
    Tenn padded leggings
    BBB Overshoes
A couple of decent tyre levers
    A couple of CO2 canisters
    A spare innertube
    Sealskinz socks

 All adds up when you look at it listed! All this to get me back cycling to work through the winter. It'll be worth it though! :)

Just enough water and cereal bars for about ~1000 kms, so.. Not much I guess. Yes, I know I'm boring.
  • Oh it's so tempting............but no I'll behave :D

    Mellow Johnnys jersey £100

£100 for a jersey, guess prices have gone up since this is now LA's only source of income!

    Oh nooo, really?!

30 seconds on google finds a Mellow Johnny's jersey and bib short set for $53.99

    Female? ;) More importantly, legit?

Fair point, but still $100, not £100.

US brands are often the same price in $ there as they are in £ here. Makes spending sprees on holiday fun!

Do Mellow Johnny's still have LA's yellow jerseys on their wall ;)

After deciding December had been an expensive month, I still ended up spending:
    Prolite Bracciano wheels - £218
Bell Variant MTB helmet - £30
661 Kyle Strait knee pads £22
Halfords chain cleaning device £11 (same as the new Kaboom cleaner but cheaper!)
    Muc off dry lube £7

£288 and counting...not bad for saying a New Years resolution had been to pare back on the bike spending this year
Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...

    Just pretend you're being ironic
  • I'm really pleased it's not just me spending money this month!

Road Holland cycle jersey- $126 with postage, plus £18 import duties
Altura cycle tights- 1 x winter, 1 x summer- although they'll come in handy for skiing next month too I think- £55ish?
    Hope Eternity seat post- £65
    dare2b cycle shorts- £12
    2 cheapo thermal baselayers- £10
Merino baselayer- £40ish- again bought with skiing in mind but can reuse afterwards

Relatively cheap for me I think, although I've been buying other things like jeans, expensive pots of shaving cream, more ski wear, etc- so January's probably been as pricey as Chrimbo has for me. Gaaah!

This also makes me feel slightly better about my spending habits!..... here goes mine

    Felt AR5 - £2300
New, pedals, cages, bottles - £120
    New Castelli spring/summer aero gloves - £30
    New Bont Vapours - £200
    Team Sky/Rapha T-shirt - £25

In my own head I've done well though as I've offset about £1200 of this buy selling old bits & old bike on Ebay, so I've actually done very well!

And love the comment above, as like I, my Mrs thinks the new bike was £900! I just have to hide the new stuff in the back of the garage & bring it in when shes out!

Wheel bags are proving useful at the moment. Mrs would never open them, but if she did

    Scott CR1 £1600
    Pedals & cages £65
Chain & anchor to lock it up £49
Lezyne saddle bag, tyre levers & patches £23
    DHB overshoes £18

Did offset it by selling my old bike, a fizik saddle that I couldn't get on with and my old computer. Can't really include the Garmin 200 as it was a birthday present off the missus. She might want it back if she finds out I paid for the bike using money from the ISA :P

Was looking at Assos & Castelli windproof jackets yesterday so it's not looking good for the rest of 2013
