    The Halfords in Putney was selling £3K Van Nicholas and Condor bikes four or five years ago, and they were an ignorant bunch on the few times I popped in for something. I don't see this as much of a step up. Granted, I'd be surprised if Pina turned up in the Sutton branch, which is much more motor oriented.

    Oh yes, very much so. A shop of any sort is often only as good as the person you deal with on that particular visit. Some companies take training and customer service significantly more seriously than others though.
