What products do people use or take whilst out,
I used to have a load of Lucozade powders, gels and jelly beans but run out of stock so looking at restocking the cupboard.

Well, I imagine given how many BR members there are, practically any foodstuff that's solid or can be placed in a sealed container of some sort has been stuffed in a back pocket and consumed whilst riding.
Hope this helps0 -

Agreed very much, You could say I have been out of the loop to a fashion as I have had a constant free supply of 1 brand until recently, and going into 5 shops I would prob find 5 different brands of product,
I know we have different tastes and preferences but I am sure the wider audience would've experimented more product brands than I have.0 -
Try whatever cereal bar is on BOGOF at your local supermarket0
-
Up to 1 hour - nothing
1-2 hours - 750ml bottle with some powder
2+ hrs - 2 bottles and maybe some food if over 3 hours
hope this helps0 -
You don't need all the sugary stuff so no need to restock

On rides of over 2.5 - 3 hrs, High 5 4:1.0
-
a banana before a ride
on any ride just water.
on longer rides a flapjack or 2
and a glass or 2 or milk at the the end and a bit of fruit
used to buy those recovery drinks and energy drinks. but what i have know is just as good. if not a little better as no additives. and much cheaper0 -
Stick to bananas. Cheap, natural and get the job done.
I use Powergels only when racing and some high5 powder in my water. Although I have seen people whip out bananas during racing too.0 -
I like SIS Go electrolyte drink
other than that bananas and an emergency power bar are my choice of fuel for general riding.
oh and when I'm home from Uni (and have access to a kitchen) I make rice cakes.0 -

They are all much the same really, water and sugar with a few bits of salt in.
For me whilst training
Up to 3 hours just water
Over 3 hours, one bottle of water, one with a mix of squash, coconut milk and water, and a few flapjacks
I only use energy gels in races0
