As title, just took delivery of my YELLOW 456 carbon frame from On One, I'm very pleased with it, it actually looks better in the flesh. It's more of a green / yellow.

Very nice; get it built (I'm in the same position with an On One Scandal, frame is in the LBS for a headset at the moment).

    8) Nice colour defo stands out
  • I was going to buy the Carbon 456 but then went to my local bike shop and stumbled across the Yeti ARC, I came back and did a comparison on both and the ARC got better reviews than the 456. But then these things can be very subjective, all I know is I love my new frame and can't wait to get it in on the road. I was also very lucky because I was allowed to put a deposit down and then pay installments until payment for it has cleared, I picked it up today so am well chuffed. :D

Picture of my Yeti is here:

  • BRM, you decided or got an idea of what components you're going to put on it?

I'm really looking forward to see you build this up. The new colour schemes are really cool and the black the downtube really works.

Bet you can't wait to get on it.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm definitely looking forward to cracking on with it!

As for components, I'm not to sure yet I'm still researching / getting ideas but I'm thinking of keeping some carbon on there i.e bars, stem, seatpost etc, any help would be great though.

Not much progress so far apart from getting the headset fitted. I've noticed there's a slight gap at the back of the headset. Has anyone else had this and will it affect it in any way?

It's hard to get a pic of it. It doesn't bother me just hope it doesn't affect it in any way?

Can't see why it would. It'll either disappear or remain.

Well if your headset bearings wear really quickly, it may be something to do with that! But I can't see it being a problem.

It looks ok to me but I'm no expert. You need to crack on with this and get out on to the Chiltern Ridgeway with it.

Yes you are right Paul, I'm slacking with this! I'm still undecided on forks!
  • Regarding the headset gap, once the forks are in and tightened up the gap should close. I have an on one smoothie on my bike and thought the gap between the crown race and bottom bearing was really big but once everything was on and tightened the gap reduced considerably.

Well I gave the RS Revs 150 dual air rlt's a good ride today and they are awesome. Front end is light, they feel lovely and plush, still need to tweak them, but I'd recommend em!

    Little Update:

It's been a while but ive been collecting parts. Some pics of what I have so far

    And as it currently stands:

The brakes are only temporary as I know they are not the best. I have some carbon bars on taken from my Trek but i think they need to be a bit wider. Think I'll see how I get on with these first.

I've got crankset, rear cassette, deraliuer, chain on order. I need to find a chain guide & pedals and then I'm nearly done.

Let me know what you guys think
