Mudguards Raceblades Long or Crud Roadracer?

Had the Cruds, snapped the rear off when it got caught on something in the house - unfortunately it seems that the joint was perfectly placed to ensure that if this happens it'll snap the overlapping plastic tabs and fixing screwhole with it, making it impossible to simply fit a new rear section. They worked okay other than that though, so wouldn't warn anyone off them - just be aware that there's a weakness in the design at that point and be cautious.
This Autumn I've stopped pretending I'll switch them on and off, so have fitted the Giant Defy specfic ones, for the not unreasonable reason that I've got a Defy. Much easier to fit without rubbing, even if the instructions were merely some hopelessly tiny pictures, but seeing as they're designed specifically for the frame you'd expect that...0 -
I've had the Crud Mk IIs now for almost a year, all good. Even when a twig has got caught up in them a few times, the worst that happened was that the stays pulled ouf of their slot rather than snapping anything. Easy to put back, I've been pleased with them.Is the gorilla tired yet?0
