whats it like to ride ive just got the 2013 giant trance X3 ( same spec as the 2012 X4 model) which i haven't been out on yet due to not having some where safe to keep it after my last bike was stolen .
i do like the look of the Trance especially yours in black with white forksfalling off doesn't hurt....its the landing that hurts

Lol! Yes, it also gets used on family bike rides with the youngest strapped into a wee ride so a bell comes in handy.0 -

Looks good although I love the anthem a little more
Constantly trying to upgrade my parts.It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.0 -

2013 x2 is a great spec, they even swapped all the SRAM kit to shimano.0

Just fitted my new dropper post, and its now got the type 2 x9 rear mech which really helps with chain slap and chain drop. need to upgrade the tyres as they are the manufacturer supplied "performance" nobby nics, and fit my new charge spoon seat if/when it arrives. But I'm pretty damn happy with her.

Haven't used it in anger yet but it's any easy enough fit as the frame guides are already there. It works smoothly enough and doesn't punch your nads on the way back up. I put some tape over the exposed bit where you can have a lever instead of a remote as crap can get in.
It seems well made but the proof will be how long it holds out before a service is required0 -

Bit of an update on the cumulative upgrades.
Fitted 720mm crank brothers iodine bars and 60mm stem
Hans dampf evo tubeless 2.35 tyres
1x10 conversation with Raceface narrow wide 34t chainring, which survived a test run through the rock garden pictured.
Got some 140mm forks on order, then I'm finished spending money for a while....hopefully.0 -

Fine, they were pretty close to the chain line when the granny ring was on but never had any issues.
They are heavy and draggy mind, but tons of grip in the winter0
