Get down to 70kg (5 kg less than now).
Do my first 100 miles (currently 70).
Keep up with others on the hills (still my nemisis).
Spend less on cycling related purchases (5k this year).
    Yellow is the new Black.

First century in miles (did the metric century this week) first weekend in April & do some sportives - haven't done one yet, & have seen 3 that should get me started.

Weight down to 70 kg, & a bit more 'doing' of the turbo & a bit less 'hoping'

i have learnt to love the turbo a little bit more by setting it in front of the tv and catching up with programs! i cant say my turbo sessions are that intense but its better than nothing!

For me personally anything will be an improvement on this year. Due to work commitments abroad i,ve done very little this year. As for figures, if i can get 10,000Kms or more i will be a very happy Man.

  • Mine are to stop smoking
    do 1st sportive (already booked)
    and ride 3000 miles
  • With work etc I got almost no saddle time at all this year, as my waistline and general fitness show. So need to make amends in 2013.

Get with the local chain gang at Preston Park velodrome on a weekly basis
Associated goal is complete my Graham Obree inspired turbo programme to get myself back in shape for above
    Pack up smoking, again
Make a track bike (related to above)
Make a decision as to what I'm going to do with my £1000 of cycle2work vouchers (Trek Madone 2.1 is the current favourite)

And yes I'll make a point of getting over :)

Typical roadies, all want to lose weight.

    My targets are:
-Get down to 85kg -I told a fellow non-cyclist this. Their response was that I should seek consultation with a doctor for anorexia. Non-cyclists.
-Ride 15,000miles next year. Will hit 13k this year thanks to the help of a few touring rides abroad.
-Spend more time in Z6, i.e improve pain toleration
-Improve on acceleration for max speed. Currently find it hard to go all in and sprint. Takes me a couple attempts to do a decent effort.

London-Edinburgh-London 1400km in July is the big ride this year. Looking forward to it now.

Wessex SR series (200, 300, 400 and 600km rides) - beast of a series that I am really relishing the thought of.

Pendle 600 - 10000m of climbing across all of the north of England. Gaining a reputation as one of the toughest 600s in it's second year now.

Bunch of other rides to get me fit enough for those and a few others still floating around as possibles.

To be on the fringe of underweight which will put me under 9 stones (need to reduce 5 kg more).

To increase my unflexed biceps to 29cm (currently 27cm) :D .

My main target is to complete a duathlon in June. I have never gone for a run before so it should be interesting. Its 7k run / 25k bike / 7k run.

Then I have other targets of completing the Blenheim palace sportive in a quicker time than 2012 and also race in a 4th cat closed circuit race, never raced before.

Want to ride 5000+ miles in 2013, did just over 4000 this year

Want to ride a 10 mile TT

    That should do :)
  • mine is just to try and get out more.
    and do 100miles

I'm hoping to start racing, do a sub 24 min 10 mile tt, and generally just get out on the bike more often.

Also, in contrast to most, I am looking to put on a bit of weight!

Mine are do my first 50 and then 100mile rides. Also do mow cop and hardknot pass, without stopping.

  • First 50... (not far short of that - managed 46 so far).

Get a place in Ride London 100, complete same next August.

Apart from that, not really sure. Lose weight, get fitter... same old.

Also like to get faster. Seem to be averaging about 14-15 mph at the moment, but given the way most roadies hurtle past me, I'm clearly right down at the bottom end of the speed spectrum. Yet to figure out how to improve speed - just getting the hang of the longer rides still.

A month ago, I would have included getting a sub-80 minutes for three laps of Richmond Park, but I was inside that by 11 seconds this morning. Dead chuffed, though I says it myself.
    Is the gorilla tired yet?
