SRM head unit with garmin sensors

Hi

I dont know if this is the correct place to ask this. But I was wondering if I could use my SRM power 6 head unit on my spare bike thats not fitted with my SRM cranks but just has the cadence and heat rate senor. Will the SRM head unit display this information or would I have to fit my cranks to the bike?
