Bit of an update to my R3. I really like it as it is now.

R3131212.jpg

Super Record Group
Rotor 3D+ cranks
Praxis works Chain rings
Zero Gravity Ti brakes
Ksyrium Elite wheels
Fizik Cyrano carbon seat post
Fizik Aliante Carbon saddle
Look Keo Carbon Ti pedals
Interim stem - 3T Arx Team (waiting for the Deda Superleggero stem to come out)
Bars - Deda Zero 100 RHM
Tape - Spesh S-wrap Classic
Tyres - Veloflex Master 23 with Michelin Latex tubes
Planet X Carbon skewers

I also have some wheelsmith wheels - rear Powertap Pro, front Extralight, IRD rims, CX ray spokes. Only 1650g. Bearing in mind the rear hub is 455g, pretty damn light!

I had an S2 with Zipps, I had a do with my mate's planet X wheels on this. I like the shallow ones on the R3...

    That's a corker Nap.....

I gotta say that Cervelo's really float my boat,I may well be in the market for a new bike in the next few months (fingers crossed) an i have shortlisted the CerveloS2,S5 or a Spesh Venge...

    Choices eh

Stop right there! Cobbles on those wheels... ooooofffffff. Prepare for an ass beating!

Anyway, good choice on ditching the wheel stickers. Mavic decals - let's just say they're not the best aesthetic.

    lovely looking bike
  • Yep like that a lot. Dont like the look of the frost on the grasss bbbbbrrrrrrrrrrr. I have the same wheels (by your recomendation) and think they look great without the stickers. Can you put up a side on shot so I can see them a little better as once I take the stickers off theres no putting them back!

Great bike I didnt know anything about Cervelos when I bought my bike, but kind of wish I had now, Not that popular in Mallorca so didnt really know much about them at the time. Cracking bike looks ready to tackle anything and the saddle bar drop looks bag on.
  • Nice looking bike, although I'd recommend changing the Masters for a black sidewall for winter use. Mine have gone grey after a few rides in wet conditions :|

I'll only be using them on sunny days. Otherwise I'll be using vittoria open paves or just use my communting/winter bike. Which should be being delivered any time now.

Another teriffic looking NapD bike (especially he has now gone Campag), although I still think the Colnago C40/50? was the best. This R3 must be on its 10th reincarnation by now!! :):)

Elites are far better de-stickered, although on mine I have left just the Yellow Mavic section at the valve hole on mine

    Very nice bike.

Please do post some close ups of the wheels, like the look of them.

I just look around they seat tube/top tube cluster and Bam! It's there, every time!

    Sorry :(

Seat post is the best I've used for adjustment and clamping. Completely fit and forget, never had any slippage of saddle or post, looks good (imo), nice amount of flex, reasonably priced. Perfect!
