and in the meantime J-Rod says he has offers on the table but waiting for the CAS outcome.
Says “The team I am most close to signing with hasn’t been mentioned before. It will be quite a surprise'
The tease.

IAM NETAPP or COFIDISContador is the Greatest0

IAM have the dosh, no doubt, but they and NetApp would be massively risky re guaranteed wildcards for the Tour, though - non?0 -
Yeah I would have thought so. Cofidis - supposedly they have the cash, the WT ambitions and sponsor wants expsoure in Spain (via inrg)Contador is the Greatest0

Cofidis seems most likely, have to say. Taaramae and Navarro would be working overtime0 -
CAS announce their verdict tomorrow0

Daniel Benson @dnlbenson: KATUSHA MANAGEMENT’S APPEAL UPHELD BY THE CAS
Daniel Benson @dnlbenson: The CAS Panel did not reach the same conclusions as the UCI Licensing Commission and decided to uphold the appeal.0 -
Which team is going to get kicked out of the WT then?0
-
Let's see what ASO and RCS make of that.0
-
Do you think the following CAS statementThe grounds for the decision will be released “in a few weeks”
Now, let's see what Bardiani Valvole-CSF Inox, Fantini Vini–Selle Italia or Colombia make of having their wildcard revoked.0 -
Who says RCS will revoke any wildcards? Michele Acquarone has just tweeted that it's a mess. He's right.0
-
The Inner ring blog had a good explanation of the process (before announcement was made)
http://inrng.com/2013/02/katusha-cas-crash-course/
It looks like what should happen is that the licencing commission have to re-evaluate, but can theoreticaly still come to the same decision....
Complete mess though.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
so its 19 teams for the rest of the year, folks
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/uci-con ... s-for-2013
Race organisers will have to decide whether they can accommodate 23 teams, or retract an already-allocated wildcard in the case of P-N/T-A/Giro, or only dish out 3 for other races0 -
Katusha will ride PN and Dauphine with no withdrawals. TdF stays at 22 teams with wildcards reduced to 3.
http://velonews.competitor.com/2013/02/ ... ine_275196Contador is the Greatest0 -
The Giro's the interesting one - teams are of 9 rather than 8 as at PN or Dauphine
Giro has 4 x wildcards already invited, plus 18 x WT teams = 198 riders
Suddenly add a 19th WT team and you have 207 riders, where the UCI limit is 200...0 -
So that's 19 worldtour teams plus Europcar and Cofidis. Who gets final wildcard I wonder?0

Well, Hivert's not doing Saur Sojasun any harm this week - just won in Spain 2nd day in a row0
