Realistic Gains?

Was just wondering what realistic gains can be made in my FTP over the winter? Ive had a month off due to holiday, so am down to 214, I would like to peak for an event on march 17th, then june 9th, with around 6-8hrs a week on the turbo over winter, with a power meter, trainer road and decent nutrition, what sort of gains on my FTP are to be expected?
Basically, id like to know what goal to set myself!
Any help much appreciated

Almost impossible to say. It depends on where you are now with your fitness level, age, health, genetics, years cycling, what other sports you have done in the past, I could go on.

It's a case of suck it and see. I remember reading that one of Forme Coaching's clients increased their FTP by 29 watts in 2 months, but as there is no other info on the rider it's impossible to put that into context.

What did you have before you were off the bike for a month?
What was your highest FTP this year (and in previous years)?
For how many years have you been doing cycling? How many of those years have you trained with a structure?
Any other experience in endurance sports?
    How old are you (roughly)?

Although even knowing the answers the these questions one can only give you a very rough estimate.

I personally believe that you need to run with a PM for at least a year to get an idea what kind of gains you can expect with the PM based on previous years. Without any previous years knowledge, I think it's pretty much a guess.
