    I guess you'd have to ride one to really appreciate it. For me it's just a fun challenge and I also like the uniqueness of it. I also get a great workout since I can't coast and have no low gears. It could also be that going really fast on a bike is scary to me, especially where traffic is involved. Most of my riding is offroad on my mountain unicycles, where I can really get wild and crazy, doing drops and riding on the most technical terrain. So basically, it's just another way of cycling--a minimalist approach!

    On today's 36er ride I met a really nice group of road bikers.

    Thats good going, although I've never ridden a unicycle so dont know how you get one up a hill?

    The camera man obviously has 1 leg a lot shorter than the other as well, as there are some strange tilted camera angles there that exaggerate the inclines ;)

    I had literally no time to set up the camera for each shot. As soon as I saw a biker(s) coming, I had to quickly setup and start record, then ride like hell to get into position behind them and then ride like hell to catch up! You'll notice the shot taken from high up with the ocean in the backround, that the caera angle was so off, it makes the hill look flat and almost downhill! So I had to get what I could with very little lead time to set up.

    But 14-16% grades are child's play compared to something like Fargo:
