heavy rain all day here in cornwall. got quite windy later and up to gale force overnight. so much crud on the road from previous gales including fallen branches... no way going out in that. today much better but unfortunately working0

Well I went - 51 miles in steady heavy rain. Some standing water and blocked drains by the time I got home. Absolutely sodden from head to foot. I enjoyed it in a strange sort of way, and the legs felt better than they have done since late summer.0

I didnt brave it yesterday, so went to the gym instead...
So glad i waited until today, it was superb, although a little windy.0 -
Went out saturday...it was cold but little wind. Was starting to feel cold when i got back but pleased with 40 hilly miles. Hipperholme,to Denholme, oxenhope, crag vale, over past the brewery to mirey lane, cottonstones and back via west vale, elland bottom to Brighouse. Nice riding if a little damp in places !0

Too much danger of ice so for yet another weekend road bike is grounded :-(
Instead I went mountain biking from Aviemore to Loch Morlich just after dark. Was -2C in the village and felt so cold up at the Loch I took the quicker route home, all the puddles were iced over. I was warm enough but every breath hurt.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

Managed 30-odd miles in freezing fog. Just got in before the rain started. Loved the ride but the shower more!0

Lovely ride out today, though a dinghy would have been more appropriate at certain points. Three or four places I was nearly BB deep in water.0

Did 30 odd today in the Wiltshire countryside. Really enjoyed the ride, had to clean the bike down after, hadn't been out for a few weeks and found going up hills very hard0
-
Did 32 in the peaks, waited till 10.30 to let the frost go. 3/4 up Suprise out of Hathersage got a slow puncture. Topped the tyre up once at the top of the hill and then carried on for another 5 miles or so before biting the bullet and changing the tube. Now I know why its a good idea to have a set of latex gloves in the saddle pack - hands were freezing and black from all the muck of the road and tyre. Still got back just before the rain came though0
