So many upgrades, it requires a new thread. Here is the bike, found in a skip, refurbished, and now upgraded. All original components have been polished endlessly with Brasso (calipers, levers, wheel, hubs etc).

Great work (and refurbing old road bikes is hard work).

Very nice, great build. One thing I'd change though would be the brooks saddle. They look and feel horrible in my opinion, stick a flite or a turbo or something on instead!0

Hehe No carbon in our garage. My main bike is Reynolds 531 (see sig).
Dad's going to get a cheapish aluminium bike for general riding and keep this for extra special occasions
