Just going on official weights it looks like I could save 350 grams by going tubeless, tempting but do I need new tyres when I have brand new onesYT Wicked 160 ltd

on my 29er i've always used normal tyres on tubeless rims, tubeless.
its not rocky round here so very small chance of splitting a sidewall0 -
I've only ever had punctures from thorns anyway and very few of them so it should be a good move going tubelessYT Wicked 160 ltd

I've always been a Shimano fan but my opinion might well change, the type 2 mech is really useful when it comes to putting the rear wheel in as wellYT Wicked 160 ltd

I've never had sram before, the shifting is great but the shifters take a bit of getting used to0
-
I take it you mean using your thum for both shifts, it's the way forward IMO and I've shifted like that since shimano introduced 2 way release. It means you can always be covering the brakesYT Wicked 160 ltd

On Beyonce i use shimano compatible ones thinking about it, Sunn i believe? and Deore on Shakira.
Probably why i've never noticed it before LOL
I forgot to add, i have bought a Mucky Nutz Bender Fender to bang on tonight, should be easy enough but the DT Swiss forks are like my Manitou's and are backwards lol0 -

I run a 2011 SLX shifter on my Inbred and it's a dual thumbie option thing! As has previously been said, it's much better for covering the brake and still being able to change gear.Trail fun - Transition Bandit
