pretty constructive advice IMO, maybe you read it wrong maybe your just grumpy and had a hard upbringing.

Except that the OP wasn't asking for advice...he's already bought it, and was asking others to post photos of their Chinese carbon bikes. So all your comments do is rain on his parade. You may prefer an ally frame, but that's not the point...he's bought a "knock-off" frame and is very happy with it. So why imply that he's an idiot for buying it? It serves no purpose other than to upset and offend. Unless, of course, that was your intention. In which case, you're the troll everyone seems to think you are.

Sadly this lack of common courtesy seems fairly prevalent around here. People seem only too eager to diss other people's choices, or to gloatingly tell them they could have bought it much cheaper elsewhere, or that it's just a re-badged pile of junk from the far east. Rather sad, really.

He is just an irritation, ignore him is the best advice we can give you.

  • And don't get me started on the grammar, spelling and syntax round here ;-) The manners are bad, but the grasp of rudimentary spelling and punctuation is shocking.

"Its knock of why?" Really? So wrong in so many ways.
  • As I said before, DNFTT! If you don't respond to him, he'll go away!

It did over 2000 miles before, first the handlebars...then the steerer tube snapped. Go china! :-)
cool bike was it the fork steerer that snapped or the head tube as my boys pinarello snapped behind the headtube(yes real ones do break  )

Where the stem clamps to the steerer tube, that just snapped off, leaving the bars in my hands with the broken steerer tube still clamped inside the stem!

    I could not agree more.

In many ways this is a great forum with a lot of helpful, amusing and well-informed people. Unfortunately poor manners seem to invade every other thread and it is disappointing, bearing in mind that we are all here because we are cyclists, that we do not treat each other with greater civility.
  • 1. I think the OP's bike looks good, I do agree with the comment about the cables though.
    2. I totally agree with masaccios comment.

See my sig for my FM015. I have been riding it since October 2010, I guess I have done about 8,000 miles by now.

Still love it to bits ( but my other bike is really ancient ).

No problems at all, other than the odd scratch where I have been careless.

Have made a few changes - I now have KCNC Sc Force handlebars and KCNC Wing stem, a SRAM Red cassette and a 100g cheapo Chinese eBay carbon saddle that takes the weight down to 6904g (calculated-but I weighed most of the components before assembly).

Will take some better photos over the weekend and get a total weight. Sorry about the quality it was taken with my Iphone in a poorly lit lounge this evening.

Just a quick summary, I didn't import the frame but bought it new un-built from someone in the UK. Its a Flyxii FR004 i think (excuse the graphics I had made where I told them it was an fr-009) I decided I didn't want to go down the plain black route I also don't see the point in painting/stickering a bike up as something its not. I would only be kidding myself. So i decided to label it up as it is. I am pretty happy with it. I hope you all like it i will post some better pics over the weekend and something under the your bikes section.
