Nice one. I do a LOT of my training on the turbo. You have to learn to embrace it...

No. If you know how to use the turbo and you have a proper plan, the turbo can be good fun, or at least tolerable.

If you just hop on, pedal for a bit, get sweaty and then get off, you'll probably lose interest quite quickly.

i got my first turbo delivered yesterday, only had time to set it up and had a quick 15 mins testing it last night!

considering a first proper go tonight but weather forecast is ok so might keep my cycling outdoors until the next rainy day! it might make it seem more worth while that way :)

For me the key is having a set session plan and sticking to it. I watched the Race Day DVD (cycleops) and worked to that and it was enjoyable
Will have to download some sufferfest sessions now :)

If you need help, then I need help too. Recently got a turbo and have been on it loads, and I'm feeling the benefit already - I think it's great!!

Can't understand all the turbo-hating comments on this forum.

I've done a few sessions to music on my iPhone and the last couple of sessions I've done to the 5 Live podcast "Peddlars: Cycling's Dirty Truths" which I downloaded about a month ago and hadn't had chance to listen to.

Plus not going stir crazy about not getting on the bike (well, it's not quite the same as the great outdoors, but it's good enough on these dark winter nights).

    What's not to like?!!!
