the fact that my bicycle is better than all the pieces of junk you lot ride.
Is that the one where the designers should be put to a firing squad?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Crafted atom by atom in the forges of Hades, it is.

Which would explain why the internal cable routes are such a *******.

Girls in their summer clothes. And I don't mean the Springsteen song either.

Until that is one happens upon the heffalump. No dear, that's not a good look. Nor is your lardy partner's.

Watching bats at work. Amazing creatures. Think I had some under my hanging tiles a few years ago (Hampshire thing) but not sure this year. Less poop on the wheelie bin, though. Back to watching the insect slaughter.

On holidays and on an open top city tour bus -- sitting on the top deck we were joined by Mr and Mrs very small person -- but even though Mr small was sitting by the side of the bus he couldn't see over the edge very well. The floor of the bus was just the exact distance away from the seat so that when Mr small stood up to see over the side of the bus he was no better off than when he was sat on the seat. I limited myself to grin and looked the other way. The wife missed it.

Just as a small aside but makes me smile every time I think about it!

My Grandad died just over twenty years ago now but me and my brothers went to see him not long before he died we asked if he had any regrets, he said that he wished he’d jumped off a moving London bus when he was younger because he was now too bloody old to even attempt it!
After he died me and my brothers took his ashes and ceremonially jumped off a moving bus at Trafalgar Square with his ashes in memory of him.

Nice tribute -- I'm sure my dad is looking down on my brothers and I -- he's not dead just very condecending.

Glancing down at my Garmin for no particular reason while out for a pedal and seeing 4.00 miles @ 4.00 pm. Definitely trivial.

You need one of MF's bikes -- Garmin would read 400 MLS -- I bought his pills but can't afford the Garmin now.

A dozen or so Swallows chasing off a Kestrel.

Shorty (my 5yo) decided that she didn't need the stabilisers on her bike. I said (as I was milling about doing odd jobs), no problem except she must wear a helmet.
So off she went, a little wobbly at first but fine.

2 days later and haring about like a mad thing, I put a plank on a brick. After 4 or 5 runs. she decided the ramp wasn't high enough :D

Nobody really taught her how to ride a bike. It shows you that a complete lack of anticipation and concern gave her confidence without one jot of fear.

My first son --very cautious learned slow but steady is now fearless of man or machine ( a demon on a motorcycle ) and is the bravest person I know.

Second boy -- just jumped on and rode away first clip -- 20min later came in with blood squirting out of his forehead after making love to the pebble dash wall -- no crying though -- he's awkward and slow in car or motorcycle.

Third boy -- cautious and slow -- keen cyclist starting to test me now.

Sitting working from home with the back door open hearing the screech of a couple of buzzards lazily circling over head. It's unusual to see them so close in a suburban environment, something must have got them interested - maybe they saw the state I was in when I got back from my race last night!
