In a moment of genius someone has invented a coffee stirrer that also acts as a plug in the top of the takeaway cup. Got one at Pret this morning, so I can now carry my coffee without it spitting out over my hand.0

Getting my bank statement through the post. Then sitting down with my calculator and receipts and checking them off. One day I will find a "bank error in my favour", but in the meantime I do find the whole operation satisfying.
The bank statement then gets filed. And the receipts get shredded. Oh, baby. :oops:Ecrasez l’infame0 -

How nostalgic! I remember doing that back in the 90s when we'd just extended the mortgage and were running 2 kids; money was very tight and we had to account for every penny...
Now we're better off and all banking's done online, I just have a quick glance at bank and credit card transactions on the iPad maybe once a week, or if there's a particular transaction I want to keep an eye on.0 -
Ned Boulting. His books have been enjoyable reads, he's a personable bloke - I spoke to him in St Malo on the Tour once and asked him a question from the audience at The Cycle Show a few weeks ago - then saw him on his theatrical Bikeology tour last night in Northampton. He won't win any awards for comedic timing and pushing the boundaries, but it was a fun evening. Wish I'd stood up for the Innertube Challenge now, but there yer go.
Catch him if you can. £21 well spent [at the Derngate anyway]. Mine was the Boardman question btw.0 -
