Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

It is true that you get grumpier as you get older, in which case I must be the age of Methuselah.
I think that as you get older you lose that childlike wonder at the world and you just realise that there is an awful lot to be grumpy about.
I think that you also see things that make you realize that 80% of the world's population are utter, utter, utter vile b'stards.
As Hannah Arrent said, man's inhumanity to man.
Overall, the world is actually a very f44kked up place and not really that nice.
80% of the worlds population are not vile b'stards as you put them but very honest hard working people who want to just live their lives in peace. its the 0.01% who make the headlines again and again who create all the misery that make you think its more. It is always the small minority who make the news and the silent majority of goodwilled citizens who live ordinary lives who take the blame somehow
I think, my son, that you have lived a very sheltered and safe life. And for that I am jealous. Seriously.
But trust us grown ups - its not really a very nice place out there - stay where you are.
After serving 18 years in the army (too date) I can say I have seen the evil this world can produce. From mass graves in the Balkans to children sent out with suicide vests by members of their own family. Trust me when I say you would be sh1tting yourself cowering in the corner at some of the stuff I have witnessed. I can also say that even in these dark and dangerous parts of the world the overwhelming majority of the people just want peace and are kind warm and welcoming.
If you think the world is 80% evil then all I can do is pity you and your paranoid existance.
Pity and paranoia in the same sentence? Wow, I call Godwins.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Oh, don't be cross - it just makes you ugly inside.
Anyhow, it's natural to be jealous of the best. One day, if you try hard enough, you too can try to be the best. I know that when you are driving our kit around you look in your mirror and sigh "one day, just day I might be able to".........
But in the meantime, please don't shout and swear - it's not nice.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

It's just that they are jealous of us and jealousy, as we know is a bad thing that make s people ugly inside.
They also think that we're arrogant, but we're not: you can't be arrogant when you are the best.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

to get back on the track of this thread: people who don't pack their shopping as its being pinged ny the till person then wait until they have pulled out purse, searched for the right card, done all the necessary, looked at receipt, packed all back in purse then start to pack their shopping away.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

If you're on a boat and communal messing, or in a bunker being fed from ration packs, then OK. Otherwise, WTF is this rant about?Ecrasez l’infame0 -
People who over stay their welcome for dinner and won't take a hint like you clearing the kitchen, not pouring any more drinks, loading the dishwasher, yawning and saying things like "right, must go to bed - early start in the morning".Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

This rant is about people who are unable to chew with their mouths closed as one would in polite society. If you are unable to grasp this concept I respectfully suggest you return to your cave.Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)

I am an innocent party! Just because some AGC/RLC hat started shouting vile abuse at people doesn't mean that meek mild mannered Matthew has to be drawn into the argument.
