"losing/loosing"
Loosing? Trying and failing think of a situation where "loosing" would be used. Loosing = present participle of a verb to Loose?
Can think of "to loosen". Or "to let loose". "Loosening". But nah, can't get "loosing"...
Spelling mistake?
Loosing is the gerund form of the verb used to form a noun, i.e. The army retaliated by loosing their squadron. To release. You can be loosing your breath after holding it in.
The original meaning of the word pedant was 'teacher'

People (friends) who have got involved in pyramid selling schemes (Herbal Life, Forever Living etc.) and try to sell me their products having become an expert on health and nutrition on a 1 hour seminar from people who have equally limited knowledge.0

That may be because of the weather. We had it unusually mild and then it hasn't stopped raining much since, so folks have little to do.
I would also add that the involuntary 'confinement', for want of a better word, manifests as tetchy posts but maybe that's just me.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Poxy overzealous spam filters.
You just have to know how to play the game.
No different coloured text, no big fonts, no links, avoid spelling mistakes, don't use trending words (currently things like black Friday, cyber Monday etc) that kind of thing.

you can buy Satsumas nearly all year round these days, in winter they come from Spain, in summer South Africa
and thank goodness too satsumas are by far the best oranges,it annoys when I ask a shop assistant for satsumas and they try and palm off mandarins or those "easy peelers", whatever those are supposed to be, instead. 0 -
