The word 'adjudged' only being used in football journalism eg he was adjudged to have used his hand. I never hear that elsewhere.

"He's unplayable" why is he on the pitch then?!

"No real venom on the shot" I didn't know snakes could play football.

The King of Grammar Turds has to be awarded to folk who type "of" when surely they mean "have."

"They got beat off West Ham"

    "He done good"

    Cashew "nuts". Koala "bears".

"If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is" - to me this infers that something sounding too good to be true probably is true. The correct way would be "If something sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't".

"Loose the attitude" (they mean lose).

    "Going too the shop" (to)

    "I'm going to" (too)

Get George Carlin on if you think thats bad.

"This country is going down the tubes" what tubes?

"In your own words" fheufng zgeijwjf bwabfhoert.

Carlin's "THESE. ARE. NOT. REAL. NAMES." bit is one of my favourites. "George Carlin - Goofy Boy Names (HQ)" (won't link to it because its full of swearing).

People who say "can I get a ........" to the shop assistant whose job it is to get it for them

Every cloud has a silver lining though. When in McDonalds a while back, a young woman asked "can I get a spoon". The server replied, "yes, they are around the corner" In my head I added "so go and get one"

Shop assistants, baristas, waiters/waitresses, bar staff et all who insist on addressing a group of people as 'Guys'

    'Can I help you Guys ? '
'Is every thing ok Guys ?'
'What can I get you Guys ?'

    Exceptionally disrespectful and fuffin annoying.

"It is way smaller than the picture"

Source: Feedback on a web page selling a 6x6x6 cube of magnet balls where it clearly states in the title that they are 3mm. A semi-awake gibbon could work out its going to only be a cube measuring 18mm per side. I hate it when cheapskate people complain they didn't quite get what they expected! Don't be a cheapskate and get the 5mm ones.

Anyone who uses the term "So called...." in a debate.

He's on the pitch because he's "unplayable". It means that it's extremely difficult (or impossible) for the opposing team to mark him, or mitigate his impact on the match.

That calls for criticism of Burger King burgers. One bite and everything flies out of the other side.

The phrase 'Bring it on', most especially when it's used on Internet forums ( or should that be 'forii' ?)
    ....I don't know why; It's a perfectly cromulent word....

    Fora.

Worse, is when it's shortened to "Bring It"

Forums is fine as forum is now an English word so to pluralise it using a Latin set of rules is unnecessary and using fora is pretentious and likely to be a seemingly trivial thing that annoys me :D

And by the way, the plural of "octopus" shouldn't be "octypi." That comes from a misanalysis of the word as Latin. It's actually Greek, so if you want to get picky, the plural should be "octopodes"

Nobody's getting picky.... and "octopuses" is well accepted.
