    Naivety.

Was just about to post something similar.

We have a year out student who is the most naive/green person I've ever met.

At the Xmas work party he won a bottle of Prosecco. When collecting it he asked what PRO-SEC-CO was.

One of the Directors popped into the office to borrow some milk. After she poured out a jug he asked if she was going to drink it all.

Talking about one of our colleagues, whether or not she was finally going to tell her parents she has 7 horses. He asked how they wouldn't just hear them galloping about. He was genuinely shocked when told they were kept at a livery yard, and not at her terraced house.

And today while I was washing up my plate after dinner he asked - do we have to do our own washing up like? We work in a little family run business.

There are others that I can't remember at the minute. Coddled isn't the word.

I merely add subjective argument to the discussion.

It's not my fault I'm clevererer and more experienceder than most other people.

It's all about bringing in different angles, viewpoints, opinions, thoughts, feelings, experiences and knowledge to a discussion - not just to follow the herd.

Some call it of out the box.

Some call it blue sky thinking.

I like to paint a diorama of knowledge for the world.

People who answer questions by starting the sentence with "So..."

It's quite common within my industry (investment management) but I've noticed it's becoming more widespread.

Completely with you on this, and it is incredible just how many people are lifeless, passionless and dull. At least for them they don't realise they are as it is just a normal way to be for them. (Not sure about the weight bit though).

Boarder controls. All over social media as a discussion.

I mean, you have to be rich to afford private schools and weird to do surfing but we don't have boarder controls (our Navy does stop piracy I guess).

What good do they actually do? Aside from policing the conventional entry points; airports, ports, railway stations, roads, how can you police (say in the UK), thousands of miles of coastline. If someone's determined enough, border patrols aren't going to stop them.
On the continent, you would have to erect hundreds of thousands of miles of fencing.

    Can you explain please.

what does this mean? I cannot see the link to, well, anything. It just seems like random statements not even very well joined together.

In other words, a year that starts on a random date and finishes 1 year later?

People keep misspelling border controls on social media ;) Sorry if that was a little random. And annoying.

I'm obviously in an intolerant mood today and have a few more to add:

People who go the wrong way up a parking aisles to take a space from those who've followed the directions, especially when they then block the aisle for everyone else as they try to get into said space.

People who don't pay their parking ticket on the way to the car and instead block the aisle to get out and pay as they are driving out (or in this morning's example actually get to the barrier before realising they should have paid).

Shops that claim to be sports shops but when you go in are actually clothes shops for chavs. Went into JD Sports to try to get a short sleeved base layer and the only thing in there that I would actually use for sport was trainers (and most of those were fashion shoes rather than actual sports shoes). Sports Direct is full of crap chav clothing and customers whose only exercise is walking from the car to Greggs and reaching for the TV remote but at least they do sell sport equipment.

What's it with you and car parks? Have you tried this new phenomenon of 'shopping online'? It's ace and you can access unlimited base layers at your fingertips, get it delivered to your door and then you don't have to face the madding crowd.
