I'm skint at the moment (xmas coming up etc.) so can't afford a Turbo Trainer but the wife has a decent Exercise Bike, can i get the same benefit from this as using a Turbo? It has various level settings and a digital display for speed, HR, RPM etc.

You will get a similar benefit, and it will help if it's as comfortable as your bike...

Ideally you should try and set it up so it has the same saddle height & setback, the same reach to the handlebars and the same saddle to handlebar drop. If the saddle is uncomfortable change it if possible. Ensure the bike's comfortable enough to stay on for as long as you need to.

  • Cheers for the reply. The bike is quite comfortable for about 2hrs usage.
