Eh! When did Tony Martin sign for Radioshack-no longer nissan-Trek???

Tony Montana - Scarface, Fabian Cancellaras nickname. (in case you were not joking)

I was sort of joking, I knew Tony Martin hadn't signed for RSNT, but I though Fabian was Spartacus. Has he adopted a new nickname. He doesn't even look like Tony Montana / Al Pacino.

    He has a few:

    Nicknames Fabian Cancellara
    - Fäbu
Dialect pronunciation of his first name in the region of the Swiss capital of Bern.

    - Spartacus
Relating to his rather muscular built, for sure when compared to climbing midgets.

    - The Gladiator
An obvious variation on the Spartacus theme.

    - Goliath
Again referring to his solid built.

    - The motorbike
Come from the blistering pace he set on the pavées on his way to winning Paris-Roubaix.

    - Berna's Locomotive
Again referring to his brutal strength and place of residence.

    - Tony Montana
After the main character of Scarface - after all Cancellara is half Swiss, half Italian.

I've said this before, Tony Montana is Cuban.

Odd light in that photo. Just strengthening the colours makes it look a lot better but still old fashioned.

In the original 1932 film Tony Montana was called Tony Camonte and was Italian. However, if Cancellara was basing it on this, the inscription on his bike should read Tony C.

Wonder will Wiggins/Skt make any reference to the knighthood on his kit/bike decals.

Something like the Gary Player Black Knight logo would look great.

I don't really get it. How is he like Montana/Camonte, is he a gangster on a bike? A bit like the whole Spartacus thing. Cancellara is like him because he's big compared to climbers? Is that it? Why not just call him "Chunky" then?

  • Talking of ringers. Is Andy Samberg from Cuckoo on BBC 3 riding for AG2R next season?

Just as well that only god can judge him -if the fashion police get the job, he'll be dangling gently from a lamp-post by tea time. He looks like Kathy Burke going to Tesco in her PJs.

I think it is a pretty decent example. I mean I prefer the older style without that bent bar, but as far as those new ones go I reckon its decent. Not tooo garish and wheels are calm which is a +.

    What dont you like?

Its commercialism over style with these stupid decals on wheels.

Black chainring would have been nicer too I'd say.
  • They do the Wilier zero.7 frame in black/red so why the feck are they using the old Lampre colours? Might be some spare frames Wilier had left over from last season.

To see them back? They have hardly been missing!

Agree with you on the frame and wheels not matching. Could have been alot better.

Coldeportes. Judging by the team kit, I was expecting these Williers to be some of the nicest looking bikes this year. Upsetting.

Same deal on the Dales this year too. The wheels/decals will make the Supersix Evo look $hite IMO
    BMC GF01
    Quintana Roo Cd01
    Project High End Hack
    Cannondale Synapse SL (gone)
    I like Carbon

Do they? Which model? I thought most of them came with Mavic wheels where you can remove the stickers from the wheels if you want to.
