That Ridley is hideous. I am not a fan of campagnolo chain rings either.0

any idea what special gear froome used today?0

Does anyone know an equivalent of the team sky gloves for hot weather? Very short cuff and made out of a fabric similar to craft's base layer material for the heat...0

Sounds like a question for CN's 'Clinic'...0 -

Some sort of cooling pack?
I assume it will be some sort of neck cooler, either using a cool pack or just water crystals that have been soaked.0 -

I think the point of travel bikes is that you can fit it in a smaller bag... You're not going to be able to fold it brake cables and all.
So the general idea is to get it with an electronic groupset so you only have to deal with brake cables... not sure about SRAM Red being put on this one.0 -
So let me understand, you take off all the components, all the cables, the brakes, cranks, handlebars, seapost, wheels and THEN you can fold it?
And where's the bag for the rest of the stuff? Or do you simply rent (from the usual retail outlets) a full component group and wheelset for your trip, then just strip the bike for the flight home? How convenient.
Stupid idea but a good looking bike.When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0 -

Kind of agree. Beautiful craftsmanship and the fact that it has disc brakes makes it a bit more believable (in tems of folding).0 -

According to Boardman, the bike was intentionally set up for a 10degree cross/head wind. The team's meteorological experts gambling on the conditions for the stage.0 -

Not really, if you listen to what Boardman said they calculated that in a typical time trial the average wind direction relative to the bike is 10 degrees. Therefore they have designed the bike for this wind angle, nothing to do with the set up. This corresponds to a cross wind of 5mph or so when the bike speed is 30mph - perfectly believable.0 -
How long until you can get sidwind-tuned TT bikes? Of course the UCI would never allow moving parts for aerodynamic purposes so you'd have to buy a both left-sidewind and right-sidewind tuned bikes"Mummy Mummy, when will I grow up?"
"Don't be silly son, you're a bloke, you'll never grow up"0 -
