It's a special limited edition bike for the 100th TdF. Have a guess how many are avaliable to the public. That's right, 150! :?0

I think disk brakes ruin the lines of a road bike.. looks more like a cross bike.0

I agree. I dont like disc brakes on road bikes0 -
Yeah, you're both right, far more sensible to have the crash whilst looking good.Trail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc
Allround - Cotic Solaris0 -

They're disk breaks not stabilisersCorrelation is not causation.0 -
That may be why you're struggling with them, for the rest of us they're brakes. Useful for trivial stuff such as stoppingTrail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc
Allround - Cotic Solaris0 -
Damn I knew I was doing it wrong. :oops:Correlation is not causation.0

Great comment. I didn't question the use of disc brakes, infact im sure neither comment does, but what I said is I don't find them as ascetically pleasing.
Just out of interet, Have you got any statistics on crashes being more likely on rim brakes?0 -
Aesthetically?I'm left handed, if that matters.0

sorry typo: aesthetically0

Beauty in the eye of the beholder? I quite like the clean line that runs down the headtube to the fork without having the brake sticking out the front. Same for the rear. Would like to see the shot from the other side to make my final decision0 -

To this day, whenever I see a pic of RV I can't but help remember when Pieper, Parkin, Wust, Clayton Stephenson, and myself got him wasted at the US Champs at Philly in 1991... he wasn't so cocky back then, and it only took a couple of 'pints' of "Coors Lite" ffs. He was sitting in the shallow end of a swimming pool, blubbering, in French, that his head hurt and he couldn't feel his legs. I have a sneaking suspicion he may have visited the RMO soigneur the next morning, coz when we pottered out for a ride the next morning he was flying! (For those that care... he was a twat back then, and when he blubbed on TV when he got caught, it compounded my feelings ten-fold)0

I'll probably warm to the idea over the next year or so.. but it just doesn't look right! I'm not a huge fan of change!0 -
Anyone ridden a disc road bike?
I quite like the idea... am a bit concerned about restricted wheel choice0 -
