Oh I dunno, I quite like 'em. And I'm not a banker. I'll leave it to others to judge if I'm a smarmy ars*d w*nker.
Wouldn't get that Sky one though, as Crozza says, looks like a taped cricket bat.0 -
It's interesting how brands can be corrupted by outside influences. BMW make great cars, but the general consensus (clearly with at least some grounding in fact) is that those who buy them are all w@nkers.
Pinarello have suddenly gone from being one of several fairly respectable Italian bike brands to being associated with Sky jersey wearing nouveau-fans. People forget that they were the bikes which Delgado, Indurain and Ullrich won the TdF on.
The interesting point is that I bet Pinarello are selling a lot more bikes now than they were 5 years ago.
, so I doubt they care either way."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Not understated and, err, dull? Disappointed.
All Pinarellos are hideous in my eyes. Bikes for bankers and smarmy ars*d w*ankers mostly.
Never heard of "COUGH" wheels, though - are they called because that's the response people give when they find out how much they are?0 -
Possibly. When I was at the London Bike Show a couple of weeks ago the Graal was on sale for a modest £14k.
I did not buy.0 -
Yeah, that red paint job really "enhances" the waviness. I much prefer the understated Sky look. I particularly like how everything matches - cars, bus, bikes, gear...
Wouldn't be surprised if the team issued grundies have a blue stripe.
Someone's clearly put some effort in - I know Rapha did a lot of work making the colour consistent across the different materials.I'm left handed, if that matters.0 -

I think "cough" would be better than "cougar" - can't take that word seriously anymore, obviously they don't have the equivalent term in Italy!0 -
If you secretly like Pinarello but don't fancy riding them due to the people associated with riding them, I would suggest OPERA bikes.
Seen some stunning paint jobs on those over the years and like the designs.

I'd rather have a Pinarello and not give a toss what anyone thinks.0 -

Pip is the first World Champ in quite a while that doesn't look porky* in the stripes.
*by cyclist standards (I consider myself a porky cyclist at 5'11" and 70kg), before the age old debate stirs up again!Ben
