Are you the new Livestrong chairman?0 -
I cant get my head around why Lance had posted this on his website... (Note this is not a new page, I suspect it has always been there, but just visited the site and saw it...)
http://lancearmstrong.com/news-events/t ... -armstrong
Whilst it is extremely narcissistic (and probably why Lance posted it), it discloses way more "commercial/inside" information than should be disclosed to the public by a prudent business operation... A bit dumb if you ask me.**************************************************

Erm...that web page and the link to business interests at the foot of the page, plus the insert in the News and Events link....make it look like his official site's been hacked into....0 -

Right. The most excellent @dimspace has already figured this one out re Livestrong....So:
Jeff Garvey taking over Armstrong's Chairman duties
Garvey is founder of investment company called Austin Ventures - investors in the mapmyfitness group. They're also owners of Bazaar Voice, a PR company - aint that gonna come in handy. Bazaar Voices clients? Livestrong, Trek, Oakley, Radioshack, the US Cycling Dev Foundation AND US Cycling. And Garvey's on the board of Mellow Johnnys...Armstrong's bike shop....
In fact, here he is on emadden's link

Who was that American cyclist crying on Radio 4 just now, while being interviewed by Eddie Mair?
Didn't catch his name.
Edit: It wasn't Leipheimer.0 -

Paul Willerton apparently. Rode alongside Armstrong in 2 World RRs. Was planning protest outside Nike offices.

to be fair, Nike (at that time) had come out with the public support of Armstrong schtick - don't think there's been a peep from the smaller guys like Shimano
plus
Nike's offices are at least in the same state as Willerton's base0 -

Sounds like he got in on the story!
I bet that gala gets cancelled. I read somewhere that it's $500/head, and $1,000 to sit on the same table as Armstrong.
Has anyone else seen that terrific movie Trading Places (Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd). There's a line in it near the beginning: "No one wants your drugs, Louie!"0 -

That'll be shortly after the scene where Jamie Lee Curtis frees the puppies. Ay Carumba! 8)0 -

Not many endorsements left. Like the description of the Nike exit as a "career crusher"0 -

Bet they wish they still had Lemond, at least then they would have had a US Tour winner on the books0 -
You know, this is all PR BS. He's still on the LS Board, they'll still have dealings with him through that, and fundamentally he's still part-owner of some of these businesses.0

Are Amgen standing by him, at least as a supplier if not as sponsor ?0
