You didn't need to be Nostradamus to see that one coming ;-)0

I think he stepped down from Livestrong? He's still on the board apparently. Love the way he's phrased it... 'controversy surrounding my cycling career'. Haha. Imagine him nibbling the end of a biro deciding how to phrase that.0

still on the board! - i'd like to see anyone with those ethics remain on the board of a decent companyhttp://veloviewer.com/SigImage.php?a=3370a&r=3&c=5&u=M&g=p&f=abcdefghij&z=a.png

Nike plans to continue support of the Livestrong initiatives created to unite, inspire and empower people affected by cancer.
Armstrong stepped down to protect Nike support of the Livestrong foundation. Perhaps he is getting ready come clean.0 -

Shows what I know then! I just knew he was a 'city' type. He was on Gardening leave and due to start a new job last I heard, not sure where though!0 -
he's a professional socialist: a fearless trojan horse planting himself at the heart of the capitalist empire to attack from within and leaving smoke screens with his unethical shopping habits.0

GOOD NEWSNike announced Wednesday that it is ending its contract with seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong because of mounting evidence that he participated in doping.
"Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him," Nike said in a statement. "Nike does not condone the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs in any manner. Nike plans to continue support of the Livestrong initiatives created to unite, inspire and empower people affected by cancer."

I wonder if this lot is going to go ahead:
Tomorrow, some event "when he will be lauded for "15 years, of serving and empowering" 2.5 million cancer survivors."
Friday, fund-raising gala featuring Sean Penn, Ben Stiller and Robin Williams.
Saturday, American football College game between Baylor and the University of Texas. The entire student section, which seats 17,000, will simultaneously don specially designed Nike shirts, promoting Armstrong's Livestrong brand.
Sunday, 4,000 cyclists will pay $50 to participate in a challenge event in Armstrong's home town of Austin, Texas.
