The truth has finally found its way to the blind, the naive and press. It's been a long, hard fight over many years with people being having carreers and lifes ruined.
Now let's keep quiet and re-establish the omerta we are about to break slowly but steady.. Yep, yep. 'for pity's sakes' what a logic.0 -
This story has a long way to go yet.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

I know the Clinic gets a bad reputation but following the LA saga there has been very dramatic, especially during the court case. Just a shame that for each good poster there are 20 paranoiacs. I don't know how you could be bored by this story, it almost defines our society at this point in time, and watching LA move from figure of fear to one of ridicule has been almost breathtaking in its speed. I think until this report came out people still half expected him to wriggle off the hook.0

We've spent a decade listening to self-promoting guff from Lance and his acolytes. The very least we deserve is to give the bollix a kicking for a few weeks.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0

It helps that it's their own home boys.
If this was a French team it's unlikely too many of us would be perusing the French forums .0 -

Is the OP mad?
There's a long and exhaustive healing process for the tribe going on - probably directly proportionate to an inverse version of Armstrong's reign; picking July '99 as an arbitrary point in time, that's 13 years.
For every victim, accessory, accomplice, disillusioned/unrepentant fanboy, naive/colluding sponsor, naive/colluding journo, lawyer, etc... there's a story to tell. That's a lot of arses to be covered, reputations to be repaired and (get in line, greasedscotsman - I believe you're number 8,475,937) "I told you so's" to be told to you, so... If you're struggling with the media coverage now, brace yourself for a long and tedious Winter.
Plus, we haven't even heard the genuine Armstrong response yet. Who knows where that story's heading? There's a lot of fascination there. Are we going to see a man flake and crumble as he gets slowly desiccated by the onslaught of negative exposure? Is there going to be a catastrophic collapse and suddenly he's on suicide watch? I'm not sure anyone would be massively surprised by anything in all this any more. I guess that's what happens when you let the cat out of the bag: they're unpredictable creatures and you've got to hope that it's a pussycat rather than lion.0 -
and as Armstrong - and Bruyneel - fall, will they name and take others with them....
there must be a LOT of people out there for whom this is the ultimate squeaky bum time0 -
It's the off season. Better than talking about mudguards and compacts!0

@Lichtblick
No, I'm not getting bored and I'll tell you for why:
Because my greatest worry is that, despite all that we know, he'll never say 'I did it'. And I want that.
I don't necessarily need to see him lose millions of dollars back to SCA and others.
I don't need to see him go to jail.
I need to hear him say 'I did it' so that everyone who has, and continues to, professed their support for his innocence will know, once and for all, unequivocally, that he has cheated them.
If that takes the Feds to revisit criminal charges, to get him to court, to make him say it, then fine.
As said, my worry is that, despite the magnitude of all of this he could still walk away maintaining his innocence, and I couldn't stand that.
Oh, and I want the same from the slime that is Verbruggen.

This story should not boring for any fan of cycling. You want the sport to be the best in the world and the most fair then the douchebag must be wholly vilified, in fact the vilification should be such that all his sponsors back away; he loses money so much so that the only choice he has is to have an interview telling the truth to make the money back.
In fact one of the good things is that we are now seeing all the testimony is being shown. The ABC shows the results of the EPO testing showing the validity of the testing process and the lies that douchestrong told about the test samples. Plus the reaction of the UCI, which was the corrupt look away culture we have come to know from Fat Pat and Hein.+++++++++++++++++++++

Now, if the OP referred to the season being over, I would most certainly agree.
As it is, this is all we've got. Boring, it certainly isn't."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

You keep your "I told you so" special just for one person? How sweet...
Funnily enough, there's a guy down the bike shop near me who wouldn't listen to any talk of LA being guilty, too: him becoming a Trek dealer 2 years ago probably had something to do with it.
That, plus him having a bar-end plug in each ear shouting "LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-..." . Now I think about it, this was a common response of any LA disciple when confronted with overwhelming evidence and was probably them chanting his initials in an attempt to invoke the Spirit of LA...0 -
Not getting bored with the subject itself.
I am getting bored of the responses of us normal people on forums and twitter every time someone in the cycling business is interviewed and asked questions about this.
Anything mentioned (or not mentioned) seems to be analysed to the nth degree and an implication of that rider/DS/commentator being involved with something, having something to hide or purely "omerta" for either saying/not saying something.
I'm starting to think that we need to get anyone working in pro cycling to line up and one by one renounce satan and all his works (recorded and into a camera) for them to avoid accusation.0 -

I thought the USADA move to make the documents public when they forwarded their evidence to Switzerland was very clever.
Now they have prevented another UCI cover up and the interest is in what they (UCI) try to explain their part.
Make no mistake that they will wriggle out of any blame and that is going to be interesting.
It's not just we people but that the International Media are getting their teeth into the story which I like.
Armstrong cannot keep them all quiet with his threats.Organiser, National Championship 50 mile Time Trial 19720 -
But read the comments people keep putting on media articles about this.
The fanboys may have disappeared from here, but the number who are still commenting at the bottom of online newspaper or BBC website articles and coming out with the 'most tested athlete...never failed a test' line, say they won't believe it 'without proof' rather than 'hearsay' is incredible.
It's a witch hunt0 -

I'm thinking about all the over the top reactions to people interviewed like Dowsett, Wiggo, Brailsford, Cav, Jens etc.... Seems the only way some people will be happy is if they say LA's actions were despicable, as is cheating by taking drugs.... if they don't say those words it seems that some people love to use the "omerta is alive and well" argument and other such b*llocks.
Also amuses me when people say things like "we haven't heard David Harmon's view on this yet". Who gives a toss! Are we expecting anyone involved in cycling to put together a press release or call a press conference to discuss their thoughts on the issue. It's the close season, most involved are getting ready to go on holiday and only get in front of the press/cameras if there's a race going on.
I wonder if the Belgians are haranguing Gilbert, Boonen and a Sporza commentator to get their opinion? And then lambast them for not saying what they want to hear?
It's actually not too bad on here, but twitter is shocking for it!0 -

If that's not evidence of the strength and breadth of the influence of The Spirit of LA, I don't know what is...
In the unlikely event that Trek ever go bust, they could use all those redundant layers of carbon for some pretty nifty sandwich boards: there's probably already a focus group within Livestrong looking into the ethics of having cancer patients wear advertising sandwich boards as long as they are lightweight ones (with smaller ones for the kiddies...).0 -

I could have done with a carbon sandwich board. I've not very good on ice skates as it is...0
